School of Architecture

School of Architecture includes two majors for undergraduate students, Architecture and City Planning, and one major for associate degree students, Architectural Design Technology. The school provides Students' Creative Studio and QDSA Digital Architecture Studio for students' overall development.



School of Architecture

School of Architecture constructs open and inclusive curriculum system which emphasizes the cultivation of creativity. All the courses are reorganized and selected to form three-dimensional knowledge framework with "Architecture Design" as the major course, accompanied by courses on technology and liberal arts.




The program covers a period of five years and prepares individuals for the independent professional practice of architecture and conducting research in various aspects of the field. It includes instructions in architectural design, history, and theory; building structures and environmental systems; project and site planning; construction; professional responsibilities and standards; and related cultural, social, economic, and environmental issues.
The major courses include: Architectural Design, Residential Planning and Design, AutoCAD and Building Regulations, etc.

Urban Planning

This degree leads to a professional career in planning, with employment opportunities in both city and country areas. Urban Planning is about working towards a more livable, more sustainable world.
Career opportunities include positions in local government, private consulting firms, development companies, government departments involved with urban affairs, environmental management, transport, community development, heritage conservation, regional prosperity and related fields.The major courses include: Art (Drawing, Color), the Principles of City Planning, Construction, Chinese and Foreign Architecture History, etc.
