Environmental Design

Overview

Environmental design creates safe, usable, and aesthetically pleasing indoor and outdoor environments for humans. It applies creativity, technicality, and artistry to the design scheme to achieve the integrity of the environment. It is a science of discovering and solving problems between humans and the environment. The major currently has three professional design studios: interior space, landscape design, and furniture design. It features project-based studio teaching, combines professional laboratories and interdisciplinary projects, is problem-oriented, based on actual work processes, and requires innovative and critical thinking skills as well as team collaboration abilities. It aims to cultivate environmental designers with an international perspective and industry foresight.
