Orientation

Orientation Ambassadors

We have a dedicated team of Orientation Ambassadors who will assist you through your very first few days at QCU. They will reach out to all new undergraduates from the time you arrive to starting your first class and handle any difficulties or questions you may have. They have an extensive student knowledge and “can-do” attitude about things here at QCU.

Club Enrolment

More than 120 clubs and societies from Running Club to Basketball Club to Electrical Engineering Club are available for you to sign up to. During the orientation, they will be showcased to all new undergraduates. Clubs are a great opportunity for you to make friends and explore interests with like-minded people.

Student Council Enrollment

The Student Council will reach out to all new undergraduates during the orientation for those wishing to join them in bringing the whole university together and giving students a better experience. It demonstrates a great commitment and develops leadership as well as working with others to achieve shared goals.

The First Lesson

You’ll be excited to find out what your course entails and any future career opportunities that may lie ahead of you. That’s why this introductory lesson will communicate key aspects of university life, course expectations, volunteer, and career opportunities plus any other university guidance.

Military Training

Military training is the first compulsory course for every undergraduate entering the university. It is also an unforgettable and proud experience for all.

Through the strict military training, undergraduates have the chance to improve their pollical consciousness, stimulate the patriotic enthusiasm, cultivate the strong perseverance of struggle and collective spirit, which are conducive to the formation of a good style of study and life in the future.

Opening Ceremony

A true highlight and much celebrated event in the orientation calendar is the Orientation Art Performance. Held annually, this unforgettable event signals the opening of the university and the start of a new chapter in undergraduate’s lives. All new undergraduates are welcomed to showcase their singing and dancing talents.

One Stop Shop

Throughout the orientation period, available to all new undergraduates and international students is a One Stop Shop. Attendance during registration and advice giving on aspects of accommodation, facilities on campus, transportation, keeping in contact with relatives, who to reach out to with problems will mean that undergraduates will quickly find themselves at ease within their new surroundings and is a peace-of-mind for parents.
