School Overview
The School of Accounting and Finance is the cornerstone of our university's AACSB accreditation, hosting a provincial first-class undergraduate program and recognized in Qingdao as a model discipline for its impactful community engagement and deep industry-academia integration. Our reputation is built upon a comprehensive suite of honors, including designation as a Shandong Model Primary-Level Teaching Organization, a Modern Industry School (Intelligent Accounting), and a Benchmarking Department for Party Building. Our faculty includes distinguished professionals—CGMA/CIMA holders, provincial-level teaching masters, CPAs, and senior accountants—who deliver a rigorous curriculum featuring three provincial-level first-class courses and an Internet Finance program consistently ranked among the top tiers nationally. With the recent launch of Big Data Management and Application (2024) and Financial Technology (2025), the School is advancing its "trinity" educational model—the deep fusion of accounting, finance, and technology—equipping graduates to lead and innovate in a data-driven economy.
The School is at the forefront of exploring innovative models for cultivating global talent, strategically integrating domestic undergraduate education with international professional certification standards. Since 2012, we have progressively incorporated the curricula and intellectual frameworks of leading global certifications—including ACCA, CIMA, CFA, and CIA—into our established programs. This initiative has led to the creation of four distinctive, track-specific programs: Accounting (ACCA), Accounting (CIMA), Financial Management (CFA), and Auditing (CIA). Aligning with China's “New Liberal Arts” initiative, the School emphasizes the fusion of information technology and disciplinary specialization. We have launched a dedicated Accounting (Intelligent Accounting) program. Furthermore, we have embedded the professional standards and relevant curricula of the FRM and CGFT certifications into our Internet Finance and Financial Technology programs, offering specialized pathways in intelligent risk management and financial technology.
Guided by the values of Respect, Pragmatism, Exploration, and Diversity, the School of Accounting and Finance is committed to a student-centered and internationally-oriented education. Our mission is to cultivate future-ready professionals for smart cities—individuals who are innovative, digitally-empowered, and application-ready.
